Does CTBC Bank Philippines offer a car loan?
No. CTBC Bank (Philippines) Corp.'s own site map lists five loan products. These are My Family Home Loan, Salary Stretch Loans, a Back-to-Back Loan, an SME Business Loan and My Home Equity Loan.
The personal banking loan menu repeats the same list. The bank's rate sheet, dated September 23, 2026, covers deposits, the Back-to-Back Loan, and foreign exchange.
It has no auto, car or vehicle entry anywhere on it.
CTBC Bank (Philippines) Corp. was established in 1995, with its parent bank, CTBC, based in Taiwan. Nothing in this guide should be read as CTBC once having an auto loan and dropping it.
Across its own site, an auto loan for individual borrowers has never been listed.
What CTBC Bank Philippines actually lends for
Salary Stretch Loans are CTBC's short- to mid-term unsecured, multi-purpose loan for salaried and self-employed borrowers. You need to be between 23 and 65 years old at loan maturity.
The minimum gross monthly income is ₱15,000 if you work in banking or ₱20,000 if you do not. There is no separate loan processing fee on the application, though a handling fee is deducted from the proceeds.
CTBC does not state that fee's amount.
My Home Equity Loan is a real-estate-secured product whose stated purposes include "Personal Investment (i.e. purchase of another asset)", with vehicles not named specifically.
Its indicative rates run 7.75% for a 1-year fixing period, 8.25% for 3 years and 8.75% for 5 years.
CTBC states a processing time of 5 to 7 banking days for both the home equity loan and My Family Home Loan.
| Fixing period | Rate |
|---|---|
| 1 year | 7.75% |
| 3 years | 8.25% |
| 5 years | 8.75% |
Salary Stretch Loan eligibility
If you are considering Salary Stretch as a way to fund part of a car purchase, CTBC's stated eligibility is straightforward.
It requires age 23 to 65 at maturity, and a minimum gross monthly income of ₱15,000 for bankers or ₱20,000 for everyone else.
CTBC does not name a car purchase as a covered use, but it also does not exclude one under a multi-purpose, unsecured loan. Treat it as unsecured cash, not as financing tied to the vehicle.
- Loan type
- Short- to mid-term, unsecured, multi-purpose
- Age
- 23 to 65 years old at loan maturity
- Minimum income, bankers
- ₱15,000 a month
- Minimum income, non-bankers
- ₱20,000 a month
CTBC's own home equity purpose list does not name vehicles. Do not present a home equity loan as a car loan; it is secured against real property, not the car.
Why CTBC shows up for a car loan search at all
CTBC Bank (Philippines) Corp. is a real, established bank. That is likely why a searcher assumes it carries an auto loan the way most other banks in this comparison do.
Its parent, CTBC in Taiwan, is a large regional bank. The Philippine subsidiary, established in 1995, focuses instead on home financing and unsecured salary lending for its local personal-banking customers.
A gap like this is not unusual. Several banks and financing companies, including Cebuana Lhuillier and CTBC, run a documented consumer lending business with no auto loan inside it at all.
The two CTBC loans this guide cannot detail
CTBC's site map also names a Back-to-Back Loan and an SME Business Loan. Both appear on the rate sheet alongside deposits, PDS and foreign exchange rates dated September 23, 2026.
Neither page states a purpose tied to a vehicle, and CTBC states no rate, term or eligibility rule for either. They are named here without detail, as options a CTBC branch can explain directly.
If your interest in CTBC is really about a business vehicle rather than a personal one, ask about the SME Business Loan at a branch. Do not assume its terms from what is written here.
A car loan that actually exists
Since CTBC has no auto loan, what actually helps is comparing banks that do carry one. RCBC and Security Bank both carry brand-new and used-car rate tables.
The car loan calculator lines up all 8 banks for the same loan amount and term. On a ₱1,000,000 loan over 60 months, add-on rates at the 7 that quote one currently span 25.80% to 32.52%.
The lowest stated down payment is 15%, at BPI.
