NLEX and SCTEX are both operated by Metro Pacific Tollways (MPTC) and use Easytrip RFID. A single Easytrip sticker works for the entire route from Manila to Clark, Subic, or Tarlac.

NLEX-SCTEX Route Guide

The NLEX-SCTEX route is the primary expressway corridor from Metro Manila to Central and Northern Luzon destinations including Clark Freeport, Subic Bay, and Tarlac City. The two expressways connect seamlessly at the Dau interchange in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

From Manila: Enter NLEX at Balintawak (Quezon City) or Mindanao Avenue. Drive northbound through Bulacan and Pampanga. At the Dau interchange (end of NLEX), follow signs to SCTEX. The road splits — left lane continues to the old MacArthur Highway, right lane enters SCTEX.

To Clark: After entering SCTEX from Dau, take the Tipo exit or Clark South/North exits to reach Clark Freeport Zone, Clark International Airport, and Angeles City.

To Subic: Continue west on SCTEX past Clark. The expressway passes through mountainous terrain in Zambales before reaching Subic Bay Freeport Zone at the western terminus.

To Tarlac and beyond: After Clark, SCTEX continues north to the La Paz interchange where it connects to TPLEX. Take TPLEX northbound for Pangasinan, La Union, and Baguio.
