About Laguna
Laguna is a province in the CALABARZON region, located southeast of Metro Manila and south of Rizal province. It is bordered by Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in the Philippines, which gives the province its name. Laguna is a mix of rapidly industrializing cities (Sta. Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba, Biñan) and historical towns (Pagsanjan, Pila, Paete). The province is a major manufacturing and IT hub, home to industrial parks hosting multinational companies. SLEX runs through the province from Alabang to Calamba, with exits at key cities. Calamba is the birthplace of national hero Jose Rizal and also known for its hot spring resorts. CALAX connects Laguna to Cavite and provides an alternate route to Tagaytay, while STAR Tollway continues south from Calamba to Batangas.
