FAQs
Where can I charge my EV for free in the Philippines?
There are 107 public EV charging locations that are free to use, mapped here. The largest free network is SM Supermalls, free to mall customers across the country, though normal mall parking fees still apply. A handful of independent and government-supported sites are also free.
Is EV charging really free at SM Malls?
Yes, SM Supermalls runs the Philippines' largest network of free EV charging, available to mall customers. The charging itself is free; you still pay normal parking fees, and chargers are mostly slower AC (Type 2), so they're best while you shop, dine, or watch a movie.
Are free chargers fast (DC) or slow (AC)?
Most free chargers, including SM's, are slower AC chargers, ideal for topping up over a few hours while you're parked. DC fast charging is usually paid. Check each station's badge below for AC vs DC.
Do I need to pay anything at a free charging station?
The electricity is free, but conditions apply: SM and most mall sites are free to customers with normal parking fees; some sites may require you to be a patron. Each station below lists its specific condition where known.
