STAR Tollway Traffic Conditions

STAR Tollway connects SLEX at Calamba to Batangas City, serving as the primary route for Batangas-bound travelers and ferry passengers heading to Mindoro, Romblon, and other MIMAROPA islands.

Weekday traffic is light throughout the 41.9 km expressway. The Lipa-Batangas section sees periodic traffic spikes aligned with ferry departure schedules at Batangas Port.

Friday evenings bring increased southbound traffic as weekenders head to Batangas beaches and island ferries. Sunday afternoon/evening return traffic creates northbound congestion, particularly at the Calamba interchange (SLEX merge).

STAR Tollway runs from the SLEX Calamba interchange south to Batangas City. The expressway passes through the agricultural and industrial heartland of Batangas province.

The northern section from Calamba to Sto. Tomas (15 km) serves the industrial zones and residential developments in the area. Traffic here is steady but rarely congested except during the Calamba interchange merge during rush hours.

The middle section from Sto. Tomas to Lipa (12 km) passes through the Batangas industrial corridor. Truck traffic from factories and warehouses is common.

The southern section from Lipa to Batangas City (15 km) sees traffic spikes aligned with Batangas Port ferry schedules. Major ferries to Mindoro (Puerto Galera), Romblon, and Marinduque depart from Batangas Port, creating surges 2-3 hours before departure times.
