STAR Tollway Route Overview
STAR Tollway is the primary expressway connecting Laguna to Batangas province. It starts at Calamba (where it connects to SLEX) and ends at Batangas City (near the port for boats to Mindoro, Romblon, and other islands). STAR Tollway uses the Autosweep RFID system, the same as SLEX.

Getting to Batangas Port
The fastest route to Batangas Port from Manila is SLEX to STAR Tollway. Take SLEX southbound to Calamba, then continue on STAR Tollway to the Batangas exit. From there, follow signs to Batangas Port (approximately 15-20 minutes from the expressway exit). Total travel time from Makati is approximately 1.5-2 hours. Batangas Port serves ferries to Puerto Galera (Mindoro), Caticlan, Romblon, and other Visayas destinations.
Getting to Taal Lake/Tagaytay via STAR
For Taal Lake viewpoints from the Batangas side, exit at Tanauan. For Lipa City's coffee district and premium outlets, exit at Lipa. For Tagaytay, the SLEX-to-CALAX route is faster than going through STAR Tollway.

STAR Tollway uses Autosweep RFID, the same system as SLEX. If you have an Autosweep RFID with balance, you can travel seamlessly from SLEX through STAR Tollway to Batangas.
